Dr Hammill works part time alongside Dr Jones. Her particular interests are child health and family planning.
In her spare time Dr Hammill loves spending time with her family and 2 crazy dogs!

Following his return to the UK in 2009 Dr Palmer commenced the UK GP training programme, completing this in 2012. Dr Palmer is also a GP trainer.
His particular interest is in sports medicine, doing some work with local football clubs.
In his spare time he enjoys keeping fit and has a busy family life with his 2 young children.

After a year of working in Scotland, Dr Holterman worked in Australia for a further year and then 6 months in Chile as a volunteer medic with Raleigh International, before arriving to this area.
Dr Holterman has an interest in Dermatology, and works at James Cook University Hospital one afternoon a week and is also a GP Trainer in the Practice.

Dr Nevison graduated from Aberdeen University in 2000 and has worked in various posts in Inverness, Middlesbrough and Stockton before completing his GP training.
His interests include minor surgery and he is a GP Trainer.

Nurse Practitioners
Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses who have acquired the formal education, extended knowledge base and clinical skills beyond the registered nurse level to practice in an advanced role. A Nurse Practitioner can examine a patient and establish a medical diagnosis by client history, physical examination, and prescribe treatment.

Counsellors
Provided by Insight Counselling Services – the service offers an opportunity to share and explore problems, in confidence, with an understanding and trained Counsellor. The aim is to work towards helping you to find your own answers to your problems. Your GP can refer you to this service.
District Nurses
District Nurses are responsible for care in the home including care of the terminally ill and patients with chronic diseases, dressings, removal of sutures, ear syringing, catheter care and any other nursing duties. Visits can be arranged through your GP.
Health Visitors
All families with a child under five in Darlington have access to a Growing Healthy 0-5 Team consisting of health visitors, early years practitioners and infant feeding specialists.
Health Visitors offer advice related to family health and promote health education. They carry out routine developmental checks and hearing tests for babies and young children and discuss with parents any aspect of growth, feeding, sleeping and behaviour in the young.
